Third reading of animal control ordinance to be heard at MH city council meeting Thursday

The Mountain Home City Council will hold a regular meeting Thursday evening at 5 in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building.

Items on the agenda include:

– An ordinance accepting the final plat and dedications for freedom’s landing phase II, located at Hobbs Circle;

– A resolution naming Veterans Plaza;

– A second reading on an ordinance to not codify bid waiver ordinance and remove the same from the city code;

– A second reading on an ordinance to not codify another ordinance and to remove “money accumulation pension plan and trust” from the city code;

– A first and second reading on an ordinance to repeal another ordinance and delete “youth center activity” from the city code;

– An ordinance amending other ordinances to expand and redefine the job classification and compensation plan in order to enhance efficient management within the city departments;

– Analysis of the 2024 water and sewer rate study;

– An ordinance amending the schedule of rates to be charged and collected for users of the city’s water and sewer systems, setting forth the dates for payment for customers, setting connection and disconnection fees, setting forth penalties and damages and repealing other ordinances; and

– A third reading on an ordinance to regulate animal control in Mountain Home, requiring the licensing of all dogs and cats inside the city and repealing mulitple ordinances.
