The Izard County Road Department has begun the task of removing debris caused by the March 14 tornado.
Residents can move debris to the edge of the county road for pick up. Only natural vegetation will be picked up and debris must be placed at county road right of way or edge of county road. Debris should not be placed behind a fence or near any other obstructions, should not block roadways and should not be bagged.
Road Department personnel will make multiple rounds to pick up the debris and cleanup is expected to take a considerable amount of time.
