Baxter County is dealing with a couple of road closures, and personnel had to make a rescue Friday night in the Buford area. Patrol Lieutenant Brian Davis of the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office says the ditches along the county’s roadways are full, and there is water in areas not normally seen.

Matthew Leiboult of the White Buffalo Resort says the White River went out of its banks around 6 Friday evening and has continued to rise overnight. Leiboult says the parking lot at the Buffalo City river access is completely underwater, and heavy amounts of soil have washed out and deposited in the roadway.
