A member of the Mountain Home High School boys’ track team set a personal record and broke a school record on Friday. Eli Jones took part in the Jim Vaughn Invitational at Springfield and finished second in the discus throw.
Jones ended up with a throw of 184 feet, 5 inches. The Bombers’ previous record was set in 2023 when Robert Dover had a throw of 173 feet, 8 inches.
Jones was also second in the shot put with a throw of 60 feet, 5 1/2 inches.
