During the weekend, Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced she signed an executive order to provide relief for portions of the state affected by the severe storms, tornadoes and flooding occurring April 2, and much of north central Arkansas is covered by the order.

Baxter, Marion, Fulton, Izard, Searcy, Stone and Newton are among the counties affected by the order, and Sharp County is also on the list. The order will extend the deadline to file and pay for any tax return required under the state tax laws from April 15 to July 31. In addition, payment fees for duplicate driver’s licenses and identification cards are waived, and vehicle registration deadlines are extended to July 31.
