Molly Carpenter, Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations at FNBC Bank, has graduated from the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado. The 25-month banking school provides management and leadership training for community-banking professionals. Carpenter was among 176 graduates of the 67th Annual School Session hosted in July on the campus of the University of Colorado in Boulder.

According to a press release, GSBC students are recognized by their bank’s executive team as rising stars in their organizations and as graduates often continue to become leaders in their respective organizations. A diploma in banking is widely recognized by the banking industry at large and is a marker of advanced education which hundreds of bank-industry professionals from around the country accomplish each year.

Graduates receive a diploma upon successfully completing six weeks of classroom training which focuses on the areas of general management and technology, lending, leadership and human-resource management and financial management in banks. Requirements for graduation also include comprehensive examinations, intersession research projects and participation in a bank-management simulation course designed to provide students with experience managing a bank.

Carpenter says the education she received at GSBC is invaluable. She says she had the opportunity to learn from some of the best in the industry, grow in her understanding of community banking and ultimately contribute more to FNBC’s management team. Carpenter says she is excited to be able to bring back what she’s learned to FNBC and have a positive impact on the organization and the communities the bank serves.

Carpenter has been with FNBC since February 2014 when she began working as the director of marketing and public relations. She was promoted to vice president in March 2015.

In addition to completing the Graduate School of Banking in Colorado, Carpenter holds a Master of Business Administration in Leadership and Ethics from John Brown University and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Arkansas State University. She is also a graduate of Highland High School. She serves as chairman of the Sharp County Community Foundation and is a director on the Spring River Ambulance and Paramedic Board and the Ozarka College Foundation Board. In 2015 she was recognized as one of Arkansas Business’ 20 in their 20s: The New Influentials, an annual award given to 20 individuals making an impact on the business and nonprofit world in Arkansas.

Carpenter is a fourth generation community banker. She is the daughter of FNBC Chairman Martin and wife, Lori.
