Basketball makes up the local Tuesday schedule as the Mountain Home High School teams starts district play. The Bombers and Lady Bombers will play host to Batesville.
Mountain Home’s girls are currently 7-7 on the season. The Lady Bombers’ last game was Friday when they fell to Farmington to finish fourth in the First Arkansas Bail Bonds Tournament.
The Mountain Home boys come into the game at 5-9 on the year. The Bombers finish third in last week’s tournament when they defeated Hamburg on the final day.
The junior varsity boys’ game tips off at 5 p.m. The varsity contests begin around 6:00 and can be heard on Classic Hits 101.7 and streaming live at ktlo.com.
The North Arkansas College High School Basketball Tournament concludes its opening round at the Pioneer Pavilion in Harrison. In girls’ action, Kingston and Dover tip off at 4:00, Omaha faces Western Grove at 6:30, and Jasper takes on Deer at 7:45. Western Grove’s boys meet Highland at 5:15.
In other high school basketball, Flippin travels to Lead Hill, Yellville-Summit makes the trip to Green Forest, Dora hosts Mammoth Spring, Calico Rock heads to Lynn to meet Hillcrest, Izard County entertains Sloan-Hendrix, Bergman travels to Huntsville, and Valley Springs is home against Berryville.
On the junior high level, St. Joe hosts Alpena.
