Geffen/UMeTwo classic Jimmy Buffett albums, the laidback singer/songwriter’s 1985 hits compilation Songs You Know by Heart and his 1974 studio effort A1A, have just been made available on vinyl again for the first time in decades.

Songs You Know by Heart is easily Buffett’s most successful album, having sold more than 7 million copies in the U.S. alone. It features all of the top-40 hits Jimmy scored on the Billboard Hot 100, including “Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes,” “Cheeseburger in Paradise,” “Come Monday,” “Fins” and, of course, his signature tune “Margaritaville.”

A1A, which was Buffett’s fifth studio album, reached #25 on the Billboard 200. Although it didn’t yield any hit singles, the album was well-received by critics and features the popular tune “A Pirate Looks at Forty.”

In other news, Buffett recently released a holiday album called ‘Tis the Season. The 13-track collection features a cover of Paul McCartney‘s “Wonderful Christmastime,” a reworked “Parrothead” version of “The Twelve Days of Christmas” and such other yuletide classics as “Jingle Bell Rock,” “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree,” “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer,” “Winter Wonderland” and “White Christmas.”

Meanwhile, Buffett will join James Taylor and Sarah McLachlan at a special concert dubbed “Holiday in Brooklyn,” which is scheduled for December 9 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Tickets for the show are on sale now at Ticketmaster, and $1 from each ticket sold will be donated to the WhyHunger charity. Jimmy also will pay a visit to NBC’s Today show on Monday, December 12.
