Monday’s basketball schedule includes one last preseason tuneup for the Mountain Home High School girls. The Lady Bombers will be at the Hangar as they take on Mountain View for benefit action. The varsity game tips off at 6 p.m. followed by the junior varsity contest which will be one quarter.
Two area high school girls’ teams will be in Green Forest to begin the Queens of the Court Tournament. Omaha meets Lincoln at 5:20, and Bergman faces West Fork at 8:00.
The quarterfinals of the Battle on the Hill Junior High Tournament will be held at Lead Hill.
Two doubleheaders will be played in the new gym. Omaha and Jasper begin at 4:30 with the girls’ game, and Flippin takes on Lead Hill at 6:50.
Four games will also be played in the old gym. In girls’ action, Bergman tips off at 4:30 against Kingston, and Western Grove plays Alpena at 6:50. On the boys’ bracket, Norfork meets Bergman at 5:40, and Western Grove faces Alpena at 8:00.
Viola’s girls will compete in the First Community Bank Junior High Tournament at Southside Batesville. The Junior Lady Longhorns will take on Highland at 5:00.
In other junior high basketball, Salem travels to Calico Rock.
