Basketball makes up the local Saturday schedule as the Mountain Home High School girls will play for the championship of the Cabot Pre-Holiday Classic. The Lady Bombers will be paired with the host Lady Panthers.
Mountain Home is currently 4-2 on the season. The Lady Bombers advanced to the title game with a win over Beebe on Friday. Cabot won its semifinal game over Searcy on Thursday.
Tip-off at CHS Arena is scheduled for 6 p.m. Saturday’s game can be heard on Classic Hits 101.7 and streaming live at ktlo.com.
The Mark Martin Automotive/Lyon College High School Tournament will come to an end at Batesville. Both of Viola’s teams will meet Cave City for the consolation title starting with the girls at 2:15. The Melbourne boys will compete for third place against Highland at 6:00. Melbourne and Mountain View will face off for the girls’ championship at 7:15.
On the junior varsity level, a girls’ jamboree will be held at the Yellville-Summit Multi-Purpose Facility.
In seventh grade basketball, Flippin and Bergman will compete in a jamboree at Berryville, and Mountain View will take part in a jamboree at Clinton.
