The Mountain Home High School girls’ basketball team wrapped up the Cabot Pre-Holiday Classic on a rough note Saturday. The Lady Bombers fell in the championship game to the host Lady Panthers 53-23.
The game stayed close in the early going as Cabot ended the first quarter with a one-point lead, but the Lady Panthers outscored Mountain Home 18-6 in the second period. The longer the game went, the further Cabot pulled away as they eventually went on to win by 30.
No one scored in double figures for the Lady Bombers. Izzy Arnold led the Lady Panthers with 14 points.
Mountain Home falls to 4-3 on the season with their runner-up finish, and they’ll meet Harrison for their home opener on Tuesday.
