Cotter picked up two wins in three basketball games against Yellville-Summit on Monday.
The Lady Warriors won the senior girls’ game over the Lady Panthers 50-35. Samantha Sanchez led Cotter with 19 points, and Kaylee Crownover added 11.
It was a different result in the senior boys’ game as Cotter fell to Yellville-Summit 74-56. The Warriors were led by Isaac Jones and Tucker Coots with 15 points each, and Cole Adams chipped in 11.
The evening began with Cotter’s junior girls beating Yellville-Summit 49-20. Kate Cheek was the Junior Lady Warriors’ top scorer with 25 points.
Dora was able to sweep a pair of high school games at Mammoth Spring.
The girls’ game went down to the wire as the Lady Falcons edged out the Lady Bears 69-67. Stephine Henry and Lauren Mitchell led Mammoth Spring with 23 points each, and Terra Godwin scored 13. The Lady Bears drop to 8-5 on the year.
The boys’ contest went down to the wire as Dora beat Mammoth Spring 66-31. The Bears were led by Zack Flynn with ten points. Mammoth Spring’s record falls to 7-7.
Mountain Home’s freshmen squads were swept at Marion on Monday.
The Junior Lady Bombers lost to the Junior Lady Patriots 37-31. Haven Klinger was Mountain Home’s leading score with 12 points, and Annie Norcross finished with ten. The Junior Lady Bombers fall to 6-4 on the season and 3-1 in the 5A-East, and they’ll play in the Cave City Tournament Wednesday against the host Junior Cavewomen.
Mountain Home also lost the boys’ contest to Marion 57-27. Isaac House led the Junior Bombers with ten points. Mountain Home drops to 3-8, and they’ll host West Memphis Wonder on Thursday.
