Moody Blues singer/bassist John Lodge has lined up a brief series of 2019 U.S. concerts that will take place in February after the latest edition of Yes‘ Cruise to the Edge winds down.
Lodge is among the many artists who will perform on the cruise, which sets sail from Tampa, Florida, on February 4 and stops in Key West and Cozumel, Mexico, before returning to port on February 9.
The 73-year-old Rock & Roll Hall of Famer’s solo trek features just five dates, getting underway February 10 in Immokalee, Florida, then heading north for shows in Derry, New Hampshire on the February 13; Riverhead, New York, on the 14th; Beverly, Massachusetts, on the 15th; Newton, New Jersey, on the 16th.
Lodge will be backed by his 10,000 Light Years Band at the shows, which will feature him performing Moody Blues classics and deep cuts, as well as selections from both his 2015 solo album, 10,000 Light Years Ago, and Blue Jays, his 1975 album with Moodies singer/guitarist Justin Hayward.
In addition to Yes and Lodge, the 2019 Cruise to the Edge’s lineup includes former Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett, one-time King Crimson guitarist Adrian Belew, ex-Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy, current Dream Theater keyboardist Jordan Rudess, former Marillion frontman Fish, Focus, Soft Machine and Brand X.
