Buffalo National River is accepting applications for the Youth Conservation Corps, an eight-week summer youth employment program that enlists young people in conservation work projects.
YCC members will assist in a variety of trail and facility maintenance jobs at Buffalo National River, helping to promote awareness of the nation’s natural, cultural and historical resources, while providing opportunities for networking with peers and National Park Service staff. Superintendent Mark Foust says the program is invaluable, leaving lasting impressions of resource protection and introducing youth to an enriching career path in conservation.
