A Marion County woman, 38-year-old Jessica Kropp of Flippin, has been arrested after a Flippin Police officer allegedly found a hairbow made from a plastic bag holding methamphetamine attached to her head she claimed she didn’t know was there.

According to the probable cause affidavit, the officer observed a vehicle driven by Kropp pull from a group of storage units along Industrial Park Road Tuesday evening with expired tags.

A traffic stop was attempted, but the vehicle continued until it pulled into a driveway along South Street.

When asked why she failed to stop and zig-zagged through the neighborhood, Kropp allegedly said she was not aware she was being pursued. She also reportedly said her license was suspended, did not have insurance and did not know where the registration card was because she had borrowed the car she was driving.

A check with the Arkansas Crime Information Center database revealed Kropp’s driving privileges were suspended, and she had five warrants for her arrest from both Baxter and Marion counties.

Kropp was asked to step out of the vehicle, and the officer observed what appeared to be a bow in her hair. The bow appeared to be a small plastic bag containing a crystal-like substance suspected to be methamphetamine. The baggie had a small rubber band around the middle, giving it a bow shape and was attached to a bobby pin. The substance was affixed to the right side of Kropp’s head and attached to her hair.

The officer reportedly asked, “Are you serious?” In response, Kropp replied, “What?”

The officer then allegedly said, “You have a bow in her your hair, made from a bag of meth.”

Kropp, the sole occupant of the vehicle, then reportedly said she was not aware the bag was on her head, accused someone else of placing it there and did not know what it was.

She reportedly told the officer he would find illegal items in her purse and pleaded with him not to have the vehicle towed.

Inside the purse, he allegedly found $252, an additional four bags of suspected meth and drug paraphernalia.

She has been charged with felony counts of possession of meth or cocaine with purpose to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia, along with misdemeanor counts of driving with license suspended and not having liability insurance. Bond on the charges was set at $20,000.
