
Calico Rock High School and Calico Rock Elementary School have been recognized by the Office for Education Policy (OEP) at the University of Arkansas as schools where students have demonstrated high growth on the ACT Aspire.Awards are based on the 2019 content growth score calculated by the Division of Elementary and Secondary Education.
The growth scores reflect how much students at the schools improved from 2018 compared to how much they were expected to grow considering prior achievement.
Schools were recognized based on overall growth, as well as for growth in math and English language arts separately.
Calico Rock High School received the following awards:
Statewide High Overall Growth: High School Level
Statewide High Math Growth: High School Level
High Overall Growth: High School Level (Northeast Region)
High Math Growth: High School Level (Northeast Region)
Calico Rock Elementary received the following awards:
High Overall Growth: Elementary Level (Northeast Region)
High Math Growth: Elementary Level (Northeast Region)
On Oct. 9, School Index Grades were released by the Division of Elementary and Secondary Education. Both the elementary and high school have improved each and every year for the last three years.
The elementary school received a letter grade “B” and the high school received a letter grade “A.”
The high school is in the top 10 in the state.
