A boil order implemented for the Diamond City Water system in Boone County last week has been lifted, according to the Arkansas Department of Health’s website.

However, a number of orders in northern Arkansas remain in place. Those boil orders include the Mt. Sherman, Nail-Swain, Deer, Mockingbird Hill, Parthenon and East Newton County water associations, all in Newton County.

Boil orders also remain in place in the Lake Bull Shoals Estates Water system in Marion County and the South Mountain, Morning Star and Leslie water systems all in Searcy County. Also on the list are the SPG Water Association in Marion and Searcy counties and the Western Grove Municipal Water in Boone, Newton and Searcy counties.

The reason for the orders is listed as “treatment upset/interruption,” and they covers the entire system.

All water customers in the impacted areas need to boil water used for cooking or consumption briskly for three to five minutes.

The boil orders will be in effect until water samples tested by the state are deemed good.
