Courtesy of The Women’s International Music NetworkDisco legend and gospel artist Gloria Gaynor and ’70s glam-rocker and Happy Days actress Suzi Quatro are among the female music artists who will be honored at the eighth annual She Rocks Awards. The event takes place Friday, January 17, at the House of Blues in Anaheim, California.
The She Rocks Awards are presented by The Women’s International Music Network, a.k.a. The WiMN, and pay tribute to women who have made important contributions to the music industry. The ceremony is held during the popular music-equipment trade show The NAMM Show.
Other 2020 honorees include ex-4 Non Blondes frontwoman and acclaimed songwriter/producer Linda Perry; lauded bassist Tal Wilkenfeld, who has worked with such well-known artists as Jeff Beck, Jackson Browne and Toto; and Halestorm singer Lzzy Hale.
In addition to the awards presentations and speeches, the gala will feature musical performances, a silent auction, gift bags and more. Tickets for the event are available at TheWiMN.com.
Previous She Rocks Award honorees include Pat Benatar, Janis Joplin, Ronnie Spector, The Bangles, Chaka Khan, Melissa Etheridge, Lita Ford, Sheila E., Berlin‘s Teri Nunn, and B-52’s members Kate Pierson and Cindy Wilson.
