After seeing all five initial victims recover, a new case of COVID-19 has been reported in Baxter County.The Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) updated its website Thursday evening to reflect the new positive test. ADH will not release the identity of the person, nor the location of the individual.
The coronavirus pandemic has seen an uptick in cases in northern Arkansas, especially in Sharp County, which currently has 30 active cases of COVID-19. Independence County has also seen an increase with 10 active cases, and Izard County has five active cases.There are no active cases in Marion, Fulton, Searcy and Stone counties, as of Friday afternoon, according to the ADH.
