Chief of Police Carry Manuel has announced the promotion of a 23-year veteran to the post of assistant chief at the Mountain Home Police Department (MHPD).

Lieutenant Eddie Griffin joined the MHPD in April of 1997, working his way from patrolman to his former position as head of the Criminal Investigation Division. He becomes the first assistant chief of the department in almost two decades, according to Manuel.

Chief Manuel, who has announced his retirement later this year, feels the time is right for the promotion.
