This week’s Friday Night Live headliner at Hickory Park in Mountain Home is the band Resurrection. Music and activities will begin at 7 on the new Farmers & Merchants Stage. The Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce-sponsored event is free to the public and kid friendly.Resurrection is a group of some of the top professional musicians from the southwestern Missouri region driven by a passion for performing great music.
Brought back together from former bands of the past, therefore acquiring the name Resurrection, this group covers genres of classic rock, R&B and crossover country from the 60s to present.
Collectively, these entertainers have performed from bike rallies in the Dakotas, car shows in Des Moines, Iowa and St Louis, to corporate parties in Little Rock and have opened for such acts as B.B. King, Rick Springfield, 3 Dog Night, CCR Revisited, Delbert McClinton, Johnny Lee, Lee Greenwood and Tony Orlando.
Resurrection consists of:
Kris Spencer–lead vocals and keyboards
Ronnie Hollis–lead/rhythm guitars and vocals
Jeff Blevins–lead/rhythm guitars and vocals
Mike Thompson–bass and vocals
Phil Morris–drums
This week’s event is sponsored by The Z-Team of Century 21 Lemac Realty in support of the Twin Lakes Retired Police Scholarship Fund.
A number of food vendors will be on hand selling their specialties.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs when they come out to enjoy what has become a summer tradition.
The Arkansas Department of Health has reviewed and accepted the plan for implementation of the event. Those attending are advised to bring their own masks or face coverings for use when physical distancing is not possible. Physical distancing of 6 feet is still required from person to person or family group to family group. Any lines at food services and entrances will be clearly marked as a visual cue for physical distancing. Hand sanitizer will be available around the venue.
