An investigation into the death of a teen in West Plains is underway. According to West Plains Police Chief Stephen Monticelli, officers responded Friday night at 11:32 to a residence in the 1000 block of Seventh Street following a report of shots being fired.
Officers were advised there was a possible gunshot victim at the location. Upon arrival, they located a deceased 18-year-old male with an apparent gunshot wound to his head.
The name of the victim was not available in the report. Chief Monticelli says there is no danger to the community regarding the incident.
