Council members also received an update on the city’s application for a walking trail grant. That grant is being written with assistance from the Northwest Arkansas Economic Development District.

The Council also voted to sell its used extraction equipment to the Cotter-Gassville Rural Fire Department for $7,000. Gassville recently purchased new extraction equipment, freeing the former equipment up to be sold, Braim said.

Also under new business, the Council discussed amending its ordinances to make it illegal to leave cut grass clippings on a city street.
