Early voting opens for Cotter special election

Early voting for the City of Cotter’s May 11 special election opens tomorrow morning at the Baxter County Courthouse. The city is asking voters to approve an extension of an existing 1% sales and use tax to finance improvements to the city’s sewer system.

Early voting will continue at the courthouse through Monday, May 10. Early voting hours are 8-4:30 with no voting available on Saturday or Sunday.

On Tuesday, May 11, voting will be available at Wesley United Methodist Church between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. The church is located at 179 Memory Lane in Cotter.

Votes will be counted at Cotter City Hall, located at 115 McLean Avenue, once the polls close on election night.
