
Two more members of the Mountain Home High School track program will compete on the collegiate level next year. Parker Wise signed a national letter of intent to join the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, and Brayden Daniel will attend Williams Baptist University in Walnut Ridge.

Wise says his movement toward becoming a Bear started by creating a profile on a website known as Next College Student Athlete (NCSA).

This was Wise’s second year at Mountain Home after previously attending Gainesville, but it ended up being his only full season on the Bomber track team due to the coronavirus. Wise had multiple wins in javelin competitions, and that’s what he’ll continue to do on the next level.
Wise says the encouragement he received from his coaches and teammates was crucial in helping him prepare for college.

Parker is the son of Brian Wise of Gainesville and Jennifer Massey of Gassville.

For Daniel, the decision to become an Eagle came after hearing from Mountain Home alum Reed Parker.

Daniel is mainly expecting to compete in pole vaulting for Williams Baptist. He won the event in the Bomber Relays and finished second multiple times throughout the season.
In addition to track, Daniel also wrestled for Mountain Home. He helped the Bombers get to a state runner-up finish in March.
Daniel says the support of both sets of teammates was vital.
