The Lakeview-Midway Public Water Authority has issued a precautionary boil water order for several of its customers. The order is for anyone living in the area between 632 County Road 13 and 1628 Country Road 13, as well as services between 14 County Road 771 and 99 County Road 771 in rural Midway.
The order was issued after a water-line break. According to the authority, the boil order is not system-wide, but only for the previously mentioned customers.
All water used for cooking or drinking must be boiled briskly for at least one minute. The boil order will remain in effect until the problem has been corrected and an adequate disinfectant level is established throughout the system and a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink.
The Lakeview-Midway Public Water Authority will notify customers when the order is lifted by the Arkansas Department of Health.
