It’s a night of classic rock and classic cars when the Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce’s Friday Night Live program returns with a triple bill of Rio, the Leslie Williams Band and Burnin’ Daylight. The Friday Night Live program features popular local bands performing at the Hickory Park. The shows are free to the public, and attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs for seating.
Ultimate Auto Group and the Cruisers of Mountain Home will hold a car show in conjunction with the night’s event. The car show will be held in the Farmers and Merchants Bank parking lot across from the courthouse square.
In response to the area’s spike in COVID-19 cases, volunteers will check attendees temperatures as they enter the park Friday night. Lines to the park’s entrance or to food trucks will be clearly marked as a cue for social distancing. When maintaining 6 feet of space is not possible, attendees are encouraged to use their own judgment whether to use a mask or face covering.
The car show will open at 5 p.m., and a live DJ will provide music at the park beginning at 5:30 p.m. The event’s food vendors will also open at 5:30. Rio is scheduled to take the stage at 6, with the Leslie Williams Band performing at 7:30 and Burnin’ Daylight closing out the night beginning at 8:45.
The Friday Night Live series is presented by the Mountain Home Area Chamber of Commerce and the Mountain Home Advertising and Promotion Commission, in partnership with Huber Media Co.
Future dates in the Friday Night Live series include Aug. 13 and Aug. 27.
