Three people were injured in a two-vehicle head-on collision early Saturday morning in Ozark County on Missouri Route P, 4 miles southwest of Theodosia.

Missouri State Highway Patrol reports one of the three, 31-year-old Dustin Perry of Isabella, was transported by air ambulance to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield for treatment of what were described as “serious” injuries.

Perry was the driver of a subcompact car that collided with a pickup driven by 47-year-old Orval Merriman of Alton. Merriman and his passenger, 37-year-old Michelle Wilcox, also of Alton, both reportedly suffered minor injuries and sought their own medical treatment.

The report notes the accident occurred as both vehicles crossed the centerline of the highway and struck head-on.

The crash occurred at 3:58 a.m., with both vehicles reportedly totaled and towed from the scene.
