No one was injured after a firearm accidentally discharged Friday afternoon at Walmart in Mountain Home. The gun reportedly went off after falling onto the floor.
According to a spokesperson at the Mountain Home Police Department, 72-year-old Ronald Kramer of Mountain Home was getting his vehicle serviced at the retailer. He took his gun out of the vehicle and placed it in his hip bag. While Kramer was walking through the store, the firearm reportedly fell out of the bag and discharged when it hit the floor. The bullet traveled to the ceiling, avoiding other store patrons.
A caller to KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot news says he was in Walmart at the time of the incident. He says he observed shoppers ducking and running in their attempt to exit the store.
Kramer has been cited for discharging a firearm in the city limits.
