Basketball makes up much of the local Friday schedule, as the Mountain Home High School girls will play their final game before the Christmas holiday. The Lady Bombers will welcome West Plains to the Hangar.
Mountain Home is 2-7 on the season. The Lady Bombers are coming off a two-point win at Harrison on Tuesday. West Plains has a record of 6-1. The Lady Zizzers picked up a 14-point victory on Thursday at Ozark, Missouri.
The freshman game tips off at 11. The varsity contest will get underway around noon and can be heard on Classic Hits 101.7 and streaming live at ktlo.com.
Several boys teams will gather in Flippin on Saturday. The Billy Ply Classic will conclude its run for 2021.
The Battle of the Border Tournament will come to an end at Mammoth Spring. Viola’s boys will face the host Bears for the consolation title at 1:30, the Lady Longhorns take on Willow Springs for third place at 3, and the Mammoth Spring girls will play Thayer for the title at 6.
Both of Bakersfield’s teams will be in Weaubleau, as they meet Humansville in the OCHC Shootout. The girls’ game starts at 1 followed by the boys’ contest.
