MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. — The Reppell Diabetes Learning Center (RDLC) has renewed its status as an accredited diabetes education program by the Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists (ADCES). The renewal allows people with diabetes in and around the Twin Lakes Area increased access to high-quality diabetes education services, according to a Baxter Regional Medical Center spokesperson.
Diabetes education is a collaborative process through which people with or at risk for diabetes gain the knowledge and skills needed to modify behavior and successfully self-manage the disease and its related conditions. The RDLC program is comprehensive and taught by certified diabetes educators with extensive training.
“Jodi Bodenhamer, RN, MSN, CDCES, is a valuable member of our organization and has done amazing things for our community through the Reppell Diabetes Learning Center,” says Barney Larry, VP/business development, Baxter Regional Medical Center, and executive director, Baxter Regional Hospital Foundation. “We can’t wait to see what great things our Community Education and Support Houses will continue to do for the area.”
The ADCES is an interprofessional membership organization dedicated to improving prediabetes, diabetes and cardiometabolic care through innovative education, management and support.
