The Arkansas Department of Health has lifted one area boil order while implementing a new one, and a third issued late last month remains in place.

The boil order issued last week for a portion of the Mountain View Waterworks system has been lifted as of Tuesday.

The area impacted was for Aaron Hollow Road to Hickory Circle Road and Bluffs Drive, including Sylamore Ridge, Geier and Buckpond roads.

On Tuesday, a new order was issued for the entire Leslie Waterworks System. The system in Searcy County was placed under the boil order following a water line break.

A boil order issued by the Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) in late January for the entire Fifty Six Waterworks system remains in place, according to the agency’s website.

The order for the system in Stone County was issued Jan. 31 due to a construction-related break.

Under the boil orders, all impacted customers are advised their water may be unsafe for human consumption. Water used for drinking or food preparation should be boiled briskly for one minute prior to use. All ice cubes should be discarded and only boiled water used for making ice.
