The U.S. Forest Service is continuing with its prescribed burns in the Ozark-St. Francis National Forests. National forest fire managers are conducting local burns in the Sylamore Ranger District in Baxter and Stone counties Thursday.
The burning in Baxter County will cover 2,407 acres near Big Flat. The Forest Service is also set to burn 6,107 acres near Calico Rock in Stone County.
