Anyone who has visited the Mountain Home Walmart in recent weeks has noticed a lot of construction underway. A $2.8 million project to remodel the store is in full swing after getting started in February, with completion expected by late June or early July. The cornerstone of the project is a new building being constructed for mobile orders and the store’s new delivery service.
Kayleigh Brown is a store lead in Mountain Home. She says Walmart likes to remodel its stores about every seven years.

The new building for grocery pickup and delivery service is being constructed on the side of the store where customers had been picking up their mobile orders. Brown says for the next few months, the location for grocery pickup has been moved.
