The Mountain Home High School track teams both earned wins at the Bomber Relays Monday afternoon at Bomber Stadium. Complete results are available here.
The Bombers won in dominating fashion, scoring 287 points to win the class 4A and above division. West Plains was second with 131 points. In the class 3A and below division, Clinton won with Yellville-Summit second, Mountain Home Christian Academy was third and Bakersfield finished fifth.
The Lady Bombers finished with 204 points, winning the class 4A and above division by 54 points over Pocahontas. Yellville-Summit had the second most overall points and won the class 3A and below division. Dora was third and Bakersfield fifth.
Individually for the Bombers, Robert Dover won the javelin and was third in the triple jump and the shot put, Hendrix Hughes won the 3200 meter run, Anderson Hodges won the 800 meter run, Brody Patterson won the 300 meter hurdles and 110 meter hurdles, Brady Barnett won the long jump, was second in the 100 meter dash and third in the 200 meter dash, Bryson Hodges won the 400 meter dash, Ky Bickford was the winner of the 1600 meter run, Michael Davis won the pole vault, Levi Utchman was the winner in the high jump, Andrew Westphal was second in the 800 meter run, Adrian Bzdel finished second in the 300 meter hurdles and the 110 meter hurdles, Max Hough had a second place finish in the 1600 meter run, Elijah Lagg was second in the javelin, William Hill finished third in the 800 meter run and Ty Lawrence was third in the 1600 meter run.
In team events for Mountain Home, the team of Castellani, Czeschin, Amick and Lawrence won the 4×400 meter relay. The team of Callies, Milbourne, Lagg and Castellani won the 4×100 meter relay. Winning the 4×800 meter relay was the team of Hester, Hughes, Lewis and Amick.
For the second place Yellville-Summit boys, Tyler Barrett was second in the discus, Lucas McVay was second in the pole vault and Caiden Curtis was third in the pole vault.
Mountain Home Christian Academy’s Jordan Woods won the shot put. The team of Spary, Bingham, Wendfeldt and Spray finished third in the 4×400 meter relay.
The Bakersfield team of Hodgson, Tryon, Watlington and Freiman finished third in the 4×100 meter relay. The team of Hodgson, McGhee, Watlington and Freiman was third in the 4×200 meter relay.
In girls’ results, individually for the Lady Bombers, Rylee Patterson won the 3200 meter run, Jordan Ritenburg won the 800 meter run and was second in the 1600 meter run, Britney Jenkins was first in the high jump, Cayden Jones won the discus and finished second in the shot put and Laruel Chafin was second in the 100 meter hurdles.
In team events for Mountain Home, the team of Wilber, Krueger, Chafin and Ritenburg won the 4×400 meter relay. The team of McConnell, Chamberlain, Clark and Chafin won the 4×200 meter relay. Winning the 4×800 meter relay was the team of Patterson, Jenkins, Clark and McMaster.
Yellville-Summit was led by Kambree Gibson who earned high-point honors by winning the 100 meter dash, 100 meter hurdles and 300 meter hurdles, finishing third in the triple jump and fourth in the long jump, Also for the Lady Panthers, Kaylee Martin was third in the 400 meter dash.
In team events for Yellville-Summit, the team of Martin, Davenport, Methvin and Gibson finished second in the 4×200 meter relay. The team of Pyle, Bergeron, Doshier and Zuniga finished second in the 4×800 meter relay.
Dora’s Autumn Nold had a big day by winning the 200 and 400 meter dashes and finishing second in the 100 meter dash. The 4×400 meter relay team of Nold, DePriest, Lake and Barton was third.
Bakersfield’s Jessie Keith finished second in the high jump. The 4×100 meter relay team of Bridges, Keith, Hall and Zastrow finished second. The team of Keith, Smith, Zastrow and Smith was third in the 4×200 meter relay.
Flippin’s Hannah Penn had a third place finish in the shot put.
