Mountain Home Mayor announces re-election bid

Mountain Home Mayor Hillrey Adams has announced he intends to seek a second term. Adams made the announcement on KTLO-FM Friday morning. Adams was elected Mayor of Mountain Home is November of 2018 and took office January 1, 2019.

Adams says the decision to run for reelection was not a hard choice.

In his prepared announcement, Adams points out multiple accomplishments during his tenure as mayor including expanding water and sewer service on U.S. Highway 62/412 East, several major street projects, new patrol divisions for the police department, a new fire station being built in on U.S. Highway 62/412 East, the parks department taking over youth baseball and softball and the new fields for softball, major improvements to several city parks, the re-development of the downtown area with the first entertainment district in the state, the new community center being built in southwest Mountain Home, the new Baxter Summer Concert Series and the Coulter Celebration of Lights at Arkansas State University Mountain Home.
