3 from our area among troopers to graduate from Missouri State Highway Patrol Academy

New troopers will be graduating from the Missouri State Highway Patrol Law Enforcement Academy this Friday including three from the area. The ceremony will take place in the academy gymnasium In Jefferson City.

Among the 25 graduates, Noah G. Britt from Gainesville has been assigned to start his duties with Troop G, zone 8, covering Carter and Reynolds Counties. Jaxton B. Edwards of Harrison will be assigned to Troop E, zone 10, which covers Dunklin County. Shayla C. Latture from Branson will be assigned to Troop F, zone 16, which covers Camden and Miller Counties.

The ceremony begins at 9 and will be live-streamed via the patrol’s Facebook page.

The 113th recruit class reported to the academy on January 18th to begin their 25-week training to become a trooper. The new troopers will report to duty at their first assignments on July 11th.

Lieutenant Governor Mike Kehoe will provide the keynote address and Colonel Olson will also address the class. The Honorable Patricia Breckenridge from the Supreme Court of Missouri will administer the oath of office to the new troopers.
