The Humane Society of North Central Arkansas of Baxter County announced it has been awarded a $2,000 grant from the Petfinder Foundation and Kia Accelerated for Good Program to support its lifesaving efforts of reduced adoption fees on cats and kittens.
The investment will provide Humane Society of NCA the ability to run a special reduced adoption fee of all cats and kittens until funding is depleted. All feline adoption fees will be just $5.00.
“This grant is very important to the pets in the community. For the current shelter cats and kittens this will be a life changing event finding homes quickly, and for the over 200 who are waiting on space to become available, hopefully their time will be cut short as well. The support of the Petfinder Foundation and Kia allows the Humane Society to continue their lifesaving work of making a difference in the lives of the animals,” said Carolyn Carter, Shelter Manager at the Humane Society of North Central Arkansas.
