A 34-year-old Cabot man who has had problems with the law in seven Arkansas Counties pled guilty to the charges against him in Baxter County and was sentenced to five years probation during a recent session of circuit court.

In Baxter County Brady Kyle French is accused of being in possession of a stolen vehicle and drug paraphernalia.

French was arrested when a vehicle he was driving was pulled over by a Mountain Home Police officer on a minor traffic violation on Oct. 8, 2020.

During the stop, it was determined the vehicle had been reported stolen by an 80-year-old woman in Cabot.

In addition, French was found to have an active arrest warrant and was reported to be an absconder by the probation/parole office in Lonoke County.

The MHPD officer also found a glass-smoking pipe described as being “consistent” with those used in ingesting methamphetamine in French’s right front pocket.

French was booked into the Baxter County Detention Center about 1:30 a.m. Oct. 8.

In addition to Baxter County, French has had criminal charges filed against him in Cleburne, Pulaski, Sharp, White, Lonoke and Randolph Counties.

Some of those cases were filed as late as this year and a few older cases remain open. The case files show that failure to appear warrants have been issued by various courts after French did not show up for scheduled appearances.

Charges against him have included attempting to sneak contraband items into a jail, possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, theft of property, forgery, breaking or entering, conspiracy to commit forgery and being a habitual offender.

In one petition to revoke a 72-month probation sentence in a White County case, King was accused of violating the terms and condition of his probation in a numerous ways.

His violations included:
–Being in possession of prohibited weapons including a stun gun and stolen credit/debit card
–Testing positive for a number of drugs — including amphetamines and marijuana
–Associating with a number of people involved in criminal activity
–Failing to report to his probation officer as required
–Not living in his approved residence
–Providing no proof he had entered a drug treatment program as ordered.

Records indicate French may have lived in Mountain Home at one time, in addition to other people who show a relationship with him.

He was brought to Baxter County from the Jackson County jail. Electronic records show King’s charges in that county to be failure to appear and attempting to sneak contraband items into the jail.
