Friday’s storm activity brought record rainfall and some downed power lines to the Twin Lakes Area.
Between 7 Friday morning and 7 Saturday morning, a total of 2.56 inches of rain was measured at KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot, the official reporting station for the National Weather Service in Mountain Home. The previous record for this date was 2.3 inches in 2008.
Early Friday evening, North Arkansas Electric Coooperative had reported power outages to over 500 of its members in Baxter County. Trees had reportedly fallen on power lines. According to the outage map, power in Baxter County has since been restored.
No reports of structural damage have been submitted.
