After scoring just seven points in the last two games, the Bombers’ offense got back on track and the defense put together a solid performance in a 28-19 loss to the Wolves. Mountain Home had 339 yards of total offense, including 273 passing yards by Cade Yates.

The teams went into the lockeroom at halftime with a one point difference. Lake Hamilton led 7-6 with the Bombers getting 33-yard and 25-yard field goals by Jack Sheaner.

In the second half, Lake Hamilton pushed the lead to 21-6 on touchdown runs by Izic Clenney and the second of the night by Easton Hurley.

The Bombers though would respond. On a fourth and goal at the five yard line, Jacob Chenoweth would fumble the ball, but it bounced into the hands of Talan Palmer at the two and he ran it in from there for the touchdown to make it 21-12.

Mountain Home would then recover the onside kick and Yates hooked up with Jett Hannaford on a 21-yard touchdown pass to make it 21-19.

The back-breaker for the Bombers came on the next possession by the Wolves when Justin Crutchmer broke free for a 47-yard touchdown run.

Mountain Home had two more possessions, but both ended on desperation passes that were intercepted.

Mountain Home falls to 0-4 on the campaign and 0-2 in the 6A West. Lake Hamilton improves to 4-0 and 2-0.

Mountain Home returns to the road next Friday with a trip to Russellville.
