The Reach Center at Real Life Church in Mountain Home recently received assistance in its effort to support a shelter for local homeless individuals and families during the winter months. The organization was given a donation of $5,000 courtesy of the Twin Lakes Community Foundation.

Previously, the Reach Center had only been an emergency shelter open during extremely cold conditions. The Homeless Initiative Task Force, called together by Mountain Home Mayor Hillrey Adams, is now working with the Reach Center. The task force will have an opportunity to assist the homeless by providing a secure place to stay with commitments from the Twin Lakes Community Foundation and other individuals and organizations.

Donations may be dropped off to the Reach Center at 1326 Rossi Road or by mail to P.O. Box 521, Mountain Home, AR 72654.
