Nearly two weeks after announcing his resignation, the Mountain Home School District superintendent was hired at another district for when the next school year begins. According to the West Plains Daily Quill, Dr. Jake Long will be the superintendent of the Howell Valley R-I School District near West Plains.
Howell Valley is a school district for children in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. Dr. Long’s last day at Mountain Home will be June 30, and he’ll take over for the retiring Marvin Hatley the next day.
Mountain Home Assistant Superintendent Allyson Dewey will be Dr. Long’s successor beginning July 1.
