The U.S. Forest Service has prescribed a burn for an area portion the Ozark-St. Francis National Forests. National forest fire managers will conduct a local burn in Stone County on Monday.
The prescribed burn will be in the vicinity of Mountain View near Gunner Pool Road and Tie Ridge Road, north of the Gunner Pool and Barkshed campgrounds. Some residual night-time smoke could impact the campgrounds Monday night. According to the Forest Service, 1,877 acres will be burned in the Sylamore Ranger District.
