2 minors among 4 area residents injured in 2-vehicle accident

A two-vehicle accident Friday evening in Howell County resulted in injuries to four West Plains residents, including two minors. Fifty-nine-year-old Glen Brashear suffered moderate injuries, and 32-year-old Lydia Brashear and two males, ages 6 and 4, all had minor injuries. All four were transported to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Glen Brashear was the driver of a vehicle on U.S. Highway 63, and Lydia Brashear and the juveniles were his passengers. They were nearly a mile north of Brandsville when a pickup truck driven by 60-year-old Donald Gasper of Lindsay, Nebraska, in the opposite lane cross the center line and struck their vehicle. Gasper was not injured.

Glen Brashear’s vehicle was totaled, and Gasper’s truck had minor damage from the 6:30 p.m. accident.
