A Howell County man is facing multiple charges after striking another vehicle and take a woman against her will.
According to the Howell County Sheriff’s Office, they received a report of a disturbance involving a intentional motor vehicle accident, domestic assault and a possible firearm. Deputies were then dispatched to a residence along County Road 9370 in West Plains.
Upon arrival, deputies learned the suspect, later identified as Jesse Morgan, fled the scene after striking the victim’s vehicle with another vehicle. The victim stated he physically assaulted one of the females and fired a weapon at another. It was reported Morgan fled the scene with one of the females against her will.
Approximately an hour later, officers from the West Plains Police Department were called to a residence along Kody Drive for a report of trespassing. Upon their arrival, officers learned one of the females was involved in the earlier incident and Morgan was taken into custody.
Morgan is charged with first degree domestic assault, kidnapping, unlawful possession of a firearm, armed criminal action, unlawful used of a weapon and first degree property damage. He is being held in the Howell County Detention Center on $100,000 bond.
