A Norfork man picked the wrong time to ram into another vehicle Thursday morning when the incident happened in view of a member of the Mountain Home Police Department. Sixty-one-year-old David Joseph Hanson was arrested by the Mountain Home Code Enforcement Officer following the crash at the intersection of 9th and Justis Streets.
According to the probable cause affidavit, the officer says the victim’s vehicle was stopped behind him at the stop sign. He says he saw Hanson’s vehicle approaching at a high rate of speed, swerve left to go around a vehicle and then ram the driver’s side of the victim’s vehicle. The officer says Hanson then went to the victim’s car and tried to pull him out of the window.
The victim says prior to this incident, he was sitting in his vehicle in his driveway when Hanson pulled into the drive way and rammed into the back of his vehicle. The victim says he was able to flee his driveway and was attempting to get away when Hanson hit him a second time.
Hanson is facing two felony counts of aggravated assault and misdemeanor counts of reckless driving and driving left of center. He is free after posting $10,000 bond.
