A West Plains woman suffered moderate injuries in a single vehicle accident Monday afternoon eight miles north of West Plains.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the driver, 21-year-old Daren Atkins was traveling northbound on Missouri Route 17, eight miles north of West Plains when he traveled of the right side of the road and struck an embankment and fence.
His passenger, 19-year-old Bethany Counts, suffered moderate injuries and was transported by private vehicle to Ozarks Healthcare for treatment. Atkins was reported to not suffer any injuries.
