
The Mountain Home Lockeroom American Legion baseball team was able to wrap up its season-opening home stand on a winning note. The Lockeroom picked up a sweep over Batesville Wednesday at Lester White Field at Cooper Park.
Mountain Home breezed past Batesville 9-2 in the opener. Andrew Hamilton was the winning pitcher. Ike Barrow led the Lockeroom offense with two hits, including a three-run home run.
Mountain Home then shut out Batesville 10-0 in the late game. The Lockeroom was led by Corwin Morris with three hits, including a three-run homer.
Mountain Home improves to 4-0 on the season, and they’ll travel to Fort Smith on Friday to begin action in the Katzer Tournament.
