An area school district has selected its first leader for its new athletic program. Omaha High School Administrative Assistant Sara Hamilton was recently named the head coach of the volleyball team.
Hamilton says she is looking forward to getting the program off the ground, preparations are well underway. She says she held an open gym nearly a week-and-a-half ago.

Hamilton will begin the Lady Eagles’ program with 20 years coaching experience at all levels, including high school and club volleyball. Most recently, she coached for the Extreme Slam Volleyball Club in Harrison.
Hamilton says while meeting with her future players, they seem excited about launching volleyball at Omaha.
